TIF PRODUCTS (SOLD FROM JULY 2020) - Brexit Disruption Cover Add-On

Between 21/10/2020 until 23/12/2020 only, we will be offering a Brexit Disruption Cover Add-On to all customers who have purchased the following covers: 

  • Non-Cruise Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum 
  • Bike Tours Gold & Platinum 

This applies to Single & Annual Direct, Referral and Retail Agent policies. This add-on is for customers to protect their holiday from the disruption of a No Deal Brexit. (If the UK leaves the EU without an agreement). The standard exclusions of the main policy also apply to this section. 

You will need to ask the following question:

  • Would you like to protect your holiday from a No Deal Brexit? This will provide cover for enhanced cancellation, disruption and delay in the event of No Deal Brexit.
  • This should be asked before giving the price. The above script will be added to Magenta Gold.
  • What will this product cover customers for? 

Cancellation & Curtailment (up to the amount insured listed on the policy) of your trip because the following happened as a result of a no deal Brexit: 

  • Flights between UK and EU airports are cancelled
  • Ferries between UK and EU ports are cancelled
  • Eurostar trains between UK and EU are cancelled
  • The Channel Tunnel is closed

Missed Departure & Missed Onward Connection from your international departure point because of longer queues for check-in, passport control or security as a result of a no deal Brexit. * Please note there is no cover for missed departure on Bronze policies.*

Abandonment (up to the amount insured listed on the policy) of the trip because of longer queues for check-in, passport control or security as a result of a no deal Brexit you missed your transport providers’ service and the transport provider did not offer or provide alternative transport that would have departed within 24 hours.

Delayed Return to your home country or BFPO was more than 24 hours later than your scheduled arrival time because a no deal Brexit caused longer queues for check-in, passport control or security at your international departure point, or where your transport providers’ service was disrupted as a result of these delays.

What do I do if an existing policyholder wishes to purchase the cover? For policies purchased prior to 21/10/2020 and for all Aggregator policies, unfortunately, Brexit Cover is not available. So if a customer with an existing Aggregator product would like to add Brexit Cover, they will need to cancel and rebook a direct policy. The cancellation is subject to standard cancellation terms.
