Due to the ongoing pandemic and the constant changes in the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) advice, we have partnered with Battleface, who offer insurance for customers travelling to countries that the FCDO currently advises against travelling to. This means we are now able to offer a solution for customers who aren’t covered on our standard insurance product offering.

We will ONLY be referring IF the customer asks for cover, that we can not provide, so if they plan to travel against FCDO advice. We currently read “You will not be covered under any aspect of the policy if you travel against the advice of the FCDO”.
Battleface also only sell policies to those aged 79 and under.
So if customers query this and state they would still plan to travel we would refer. Below is some scripting to help:

Please remember that the FCDO advice changes regularly. If the customer is planning on travelling to Spain in 2 months, although the FCDO is currently advising against travel to Spain, that may change so it is down to the customer to ensure they have adequate cover for when their trip starts.
