TIF PRODUCTS (SOLD FROM APRIL 2019) - Can a customer claim costs back for a partner, that has passed away and they still wish to travel?

TIF have advised that the customer has a couple of options:
 
1. They are able to make a claim for cancellation for the person that has passed away and still travel on their holiday under that policy. In the event the "healthy" partner falls unwell after submitting a claim for their partner's cancellation costs and themselves becomes unable to travel, they would still be entitled to submit a second claim. 
 
2. Or, they can also claim for cancellation of the trip. The only issue with this option is, that if she decides she wants to go and then further down the line changes her mind and doesn’t want to travel, the cancellation scale will be used as costs closer to the holiday increase.
