Before 19/09/2019, Aggregator policies only offered Activity Bands A or B and Winter Sports for skiing, snowboarding and ice skating.
For any activity not listed in Band B, Activity Band A covered it as standard, with no extra premium required.
In the old wording, below are the only activities that would fall under Activity Band B, at an additional charge:
- Dry slope skiing
- Fencing
- Football or soccer (other than children’s club in resort)
- Hockey
- Kite surfing
- Sand dune surfing or skiing
- Street hockey (wearing pads and helmets)
As of the 19/09/2019, all activities can be found in the policy wording. Anything not listed, please refer to the underwriter. For a full list of TIF activities/bands/codes/grades: TIF Activity Packs Doc
From 14/01/2020, if a customer is doing any form of Winter Sports, they MUST have the Winter Sport add-on. If the customer does not wish to purchase the add-on, we will be unable to continue cover. Just like medical, it's all or nothing!
Winter Sports covers for:
1) If your winter sports equipment is lost, stolen or damaged.
2) If your hired winter sports equipment is lost, stolen or damaged whilst in use.
3) If you are unable to use your ski-pack.
4) If your ski resort is closed. Where as the activity for just skiing.
Please note, if a customer has certain bone conditions, such as 'Osteoporosis' or 'Brittle bones', the system may decline cover for them and if this is the case, you will not be able to add on Winter Sports for this customer and this policy may not be suitable for them.
