'Standard' Gadget Cover is only automatically covered on the Standard and Premium Aggregator policies, which includes £500 of Gadget Cover included per person. (The excess varies between policies, so always check the wording). See table for reference:
For TIF policies, the Gadget Cover is arranged and administered by Taurus Insurance Services Limited and underwritten by Amtrust Europe Limited. This covers the loss, theft or accidental damage to your gadget providing the following:
- You have the relevant proof of purchase.
- Your gadgets meet the criteria in section B16.
- The gadget was in good condition and full working order at the time of your trip.
- The theft or loss has been reported to the local police authorities and your network provider (if applicable) within 24 hours of discovering the incident. You should also report the loss to your tour operators' representative or hotel / accommodation manager wherever appropriate.
Additional Gadget Cover is available for all 3 Aggregator policies. You can increase Standard and Premium to have Level 2 or 3 and Basic can have Levels 1, 2 or 3. In regards to laptops, these will NOT be covered on the policy, unless the customer has added on Gadget Cover or purchased our Standard or Premium policy.
