We will allow diving up to 40 meters as part of a leisure holiday, with the following caveats:
For more technical non-leisure diving depths and activities, they should approach someone like BSAC or PADI for a more speciality policy.
1) They must be charged hazardous activity category B for the extra premium & the diver must be qualified to the relevant level of qualification:
Dive Agency Qualification level required max depth with
CMAS 2 star 40m
BSAC sports diver 35m
PADI advanced open water 40m (deep diver speciality qualified)
NAUI advanced scuba 40m
SAA club diver 35m
SSI advanced adventure diver 30m
SSAC master diver 40m
2) Any dive, no matter how deep, must be accompanied with a diver that holds an instructor level qualification. No solo dives whatsoever.
3) Dive equipment used must either be supplied by a registered dive school or if it's the divers personal equipment, then they must be able to show the documentation of servicing required in order for the equipment to meet agreed safety standards.
4) We will agree Hyperbaric decompression treatment where deemed medically necessary by the emergency services before undertaking the treatment. The diver must make sure that the area they are diving in has access to a nearby Hyperbaric within acceptable evacuation distance from the dive site. This can be accessed by contacting local dive services or the Divers Alert Network (DAN) medical information line (+1 919 684 2948)
