In regards to the newest and 3rd Gatekeeper question, "Are you or anyone named on the policy currently taking any medication", I thought it would be best to advise:
1. Is this a time limited question as our previous Gatekeepers questions have said ever or within last 2 years?, The answer is no. We just need to know what the customer is currently taking.
2. As the question does not specifically ask 'are you currently taking PRESCRIBED medication', this question is for any medication. Prescribed or bought over the counter.
3. Say someone takes a tablet on or off for something like aspirin for headaches, will we need to declare headaches? For this, we need to differentiate between a customer suffering from headaches once every 2 months or taking ibuprofen consistently, as the customer has headaches on a continuous basis. For example: If I woke up today and had a pain in my neck and took ibuprofen for it, we wouldn't declare Neck Pain, but if I've been suffering from a pain in my neck due to Arthritis for the past 2 months and take ibuprofen for it, then we would need to declare it.
